8/1/07 AirSpeed Wireless does a remote wireless design and configuration (3 access points) for the GE office building located in Essen, Germany. Configuration included configuring EAP and WPA security and verifying clients could authenticate.
8/20/07 AirSpeed Wireless configures 13 access points for Unison Industries – Elano Division, Dayton, OH.
9/6/07 AirSpeed Wireless creates a new VLAN and SSID with proper security for Symbol wireless handheld devices that were being deployed at the GE facility located in Rutland, VT. We configured 10 access points to implement the solution in one area of the plant.
10/05/07 AirSpeed Wireless creates a Statement of Work (SOW) for a cabling vendor to use for installing 30 access points augmenting wireless coverage in two GE office buildings located in Greenville, SC. AirSpeed Wireless later configured the access points and performed a post-install survey to ensure wireless coverage and network performance.
10/14/07 AirSpeed Wireless performs a Site Survey, creates a WLAN design, and implements a wireless upgrade for the GE Warehouse (Energy) located in Atlanta, GA. The Design is based on a "Hot Standby" architecture using Cisco 1242AG access points for continuous wireless network availability. The complete design consists of 18 access points. 11/1/07 AirSpeed Wireless creates a remote design for a GE office bldg located in Barcelona, Spain. This is for a small deployment consisting of a single access point.
11/7/07 AirSpeed Wireless performs a site survey and develops a design for a new AP in a conference room in Erie, PA (GE Transportation). We also developed a "remediation plan" (revised channel plan and power settings) in order to reduce extreme levels of interference present in the facility. The AP is later configured and radio enabled.
11/11/07 AirSpeed Wireless prepares a SOW for a cabling vendor to install cabling and 60 access points located in several different buildings in Belfort, France. We then configured the 60 access points with approximately 30 of those being used in "Hot Standby" mode due to the network availability requirements for the shop-floor production areas. A channel plan was developed in order to minimize interference.
11/12/07 AirSpeed Wireless designed a wireless network providing coverage for a conference room in the GE facility located in Hanover Square in Raleigh, NC.
11/15/07 AirSpeed Wireless creates a remote design for a new GE office building located in Merrimack, Spain. The design consisted of 12 Cisco 1242AG access points on 6 floors. AirSpeed then configured the access points and enabled the radios. The site verified coverage was excellent in all areas requested.
11/18/07 AirSpeed Wireless creates a wireless design for Albacete, Spain consisting of 2 APs in a new office facility.
11/27/07 AirSpeed Wireless performs a site survey and creates a wireless design for new wireless coverage in a GE office located in Schenecteday, NY (Bldg 59W). The design consisted of 4 access points providing coverage to conference rooms and office areas.
11/28/07 AirSpeed Wireless creates a wireless design and configures 10 Cisco 1242AG APs for two Johnson Controls facilities located in Muskegon, MI. This design is for a voice over wi-fi solution using SpectraLink NetLink phones and covers outdoor emergency evacuation routes. After enabling the radios the site confirmed that coverage is excellent and that the wireless phones are working properly.
12/1/07 AirSpeed Wireless configures 2 access points and enables the radios for a GE Office building located in Ratingen, Germany.
12/4/07 AirSpeed Wireless creates a wireless VLAN and SSID for a new voice-over-Wi-Fi phone deployment at a large GE Aviation plant in Albuquerque, NM. The phones that will be used are Cisco 7921AG phones with a Call Manager solution. The plant's existing access points (approx 40) were configured with the new SSID/VLAN, security (WPA2), and Quality-of-Service (QOS) giving the voice packets priority over the data packets. AirSpeed Wireless then verified coverage and performance of the phones inside the plant and identified new AP locations needed to fill coverage holes. In addition, we did a survey of the outdoor areas, creating a wireless design consisting of access points and bridges and developed an equipment list and SOW for the cabling vendor. The outdoor design will allow users to roam seamlessly about the plant while on a phone conversation.
12/19/07 AirSpeed Wireless Networks performs site surveys and creates wireless designs for two new office areas for GE personnel located in Greenville, SC. During the implementation phase, AirSpeed Wireless configured the access points and verified coverage and performance throughout both facilities. The first location consisted of 6 access points serving approx 150 people on one floor and the second location consisted of 8 access points serving approx 200 people on two floors.
12/21/07 AirSpeed Wireles creates and implements a wireless design consisting of 9 access points for a new office area for approx 200 users at a GE facility located in Lynn, MA (Bldg 40-2). A post-install survey was conducted to ensure proper coverage and minimize levels of interference.
12/27/07 AirSpeed Wireless performs a site survey, creates a WLAN design, and implements a wireless network for GE Aviation (Joint Strike Fighter engine test cells) located at the GE Aviation plant in Evendale, OH. The design consisted of 5 access points.
