Wireless Network Design

Service Overview

The wireless design is derived by performing an on-site survey measuring coverage of existing access points and/or by setting up test access points and determining access point locations, channels, and power settings for optimal coverage. The wireless design also takes into account capacity (based on the number of wireless users), channel re-use (non-overlapping channels), same channel separation, and cell overlap. Cell boundaries are determined by measuring for the minimum signal strength for the data rate required and signal-to-noise ratio. In addition, active surveys are conducted to ensure mimimal packet loss rates.

Air Magnet Survey Pro is used for on-site surveys and Air Magnet Planner is used for remote designs (see samples below).
